COMPLACENCY BREEDS LAZINESS
28 COMPLACENCY
Complacency kills growth. Complacency
and procrastination are like husband and wife – the former is the spirit of
satisfaction (being ok with where you are or what you have) where as there are
still better works to do that would better shape one’s tomorrow; but, due to fears
of advancing forward and daring obstacles, the person may decide to be
stagnated. While the latter’s failure or downfall is built around its inability
to defeat the spirit of delay. [i.e I-will-do-it
later etc.] So whoever that chooses to win must do everything possible to
fight temptations arising from complacency and or its cohorts, by becoming
aggressively ruthless.
Many people’s businesses
today are battling with survival for feeling they have arrived or made it big
time; then became satisfied where they were – never to move up or get better.
Indeed, laziness is one factor associated with complacency. Besides, the major
threats accompanied by the dilemma of complacency are:
-
Fear
of the unknown
-
Inexperience
-
Investment
myopia
-
Growth
unconsciousness
-
Laziness
etc.
Indeed, complacency
really kills when we allow these five (5) factors of complacency rob our lives,
business and other careers of our benefits etc.
