WHAT IS YOUR DRIVE?
Have
you ever sat down to ask yourself these few questions as?
-
What
do I really want from life?
-
What
are my strengths?
-
What
do I really do with my time?
-
What
are my weaknesses?
-
What
am I good at (gifting)?
-
What
can I do with my talents?
-
What
do I hope to become in future (purpose)?
-
What
am I seeing of myself in earnest (vision)?
These
and many more questions could be pondering in our hearts sometimes; because
many people wouldn’t know why they are living on earth. Moreover, many parents
are poor today, because they lost their tracks with a purposeful destiny; by
gambling with their future and mortgaged the joy and comfort of their families;
simply for negative or ungodly pleasures, hence landed them into their present
state of impoverishment.
As a
matter of fact, if any one of us needs successful breakthroughs, he should without
delay, sit down and ask himself the aforementioned questions—by analyzing areas
where each and everyone of us is good at; thereby pursuing such career or field.
For instance, if a child is in love with broadcasting or media-related affairs,
such a ward should be encouraged in journalism, mass-communication or related
discipline; thereby lending him an extra lenses to see the hope of his future;
rather than forcing him to study courses as engineering or medical sciences
(medicine etc); simply for wish to be adorned as the father of a medical Doctor
or the mother of an Engineer, unknowing, this wrong mindset could jeopardize
the dream, vision and purpose of that child.
Indeed,
the most respected and sought-after employees today are the ones who, are fast
in achieving success, knowledge-driven, improvisers, creative, versatile;
people who enjoy their work(s) and above all, those who can turn diagram or
images into ideas that would bring money into the purse of their companies.
As a
matter of fact, those people who make money their drive would hardly satisfy
their conscience; because when there’s no money, they tend to lose their
passion for the work or task, hence they work for money and not the joy of the
job as such. These sets of people can never get satisfied with the job when
there’s no money. (Extrinsic motive)
