BE INSPIRED BY OTHER PEOPLE’S SUCCESS
34 BE INSPIRED BY OTHER
PEOPLE’S SUCCESS
Mahatma Gandhi is one of the world’s
most respected, diplomatic conflicts resolution expert (without arms or
ammunition but dialoguing process) who gave Martin Luther King Jr. a boost to
resolving conflicts without rancour, besmirch, frowns etc. Martin Luther was
indeed a good learner of good things, thereby threading the success story of Mahatma
Gandhi in making sure his dream of winning more party members in the labour
force (the non-violent protests etc).
Not until 1965 when Martin Luther had
his first and one of the world’s most successful gathering in Washington DC,
where he had about 250,000 people in attendance; The “I have dream speech”. Martin Luther’s mediatorship and oratory prowess
were seemingly guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s dialoguing charisma and eloquence
skills etc.
More so, many people’s breakthrough
today had been the close and fervent study of great people’s successes. For
example; great people like Bill Williams Gates, Warren Buffet, Donald J. Trump
etc, had always wanted to break the fence of setbacks in the financial circle, Bill
Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Will Smith etc had also worked assiduously to soar
above the limitations of the ordinary world; by blazing the trail in the
make-believe-act in art.
Moreover, because Martin Luther King
Jr. knew
that wars are poor chisels to carving out our peaceful tomorrow, and we are not makers of history but we are made
by history; He was propelled
to make an impact. Besides, if we can’t learn from other people’s mistakes or
being inspired by the successes of greater men and women; it means the hope of
our better tomorrow is burning away like the stick of a cigarette.
