PLAY HIGH TO STAY HIGHER
55 PLAY HIGH
The tempo of every king bearer successor
or great-man’s heart is usually very high, highly intense that he/she wishes to
break every barriers that could militate against the realization of the
intended dream(s).
Indeed, defending your charisma is
the best in making your reputation stands firm and tall before your counterparts.
Pay the price of maneuver in order to set the pace high and enviable. You need
to play the game of a mastermind or leveraging as the case may be; whereby
everyone would conclude or believe you are the real controller of the acclaimed
territories in terms of finance, power or reputation. Don’t forget; that was
what earned Columbus his marks in 1492, with his oratory prowess, creativity
and psychological doggedness by hiding his real self; but pose to the entire
world that he was the highest acclaimed or known sailor (that discovered the
new world [America]).
Confidence and reputation go hand-in-hand;
and when one loses its stand, the other has no balance. More so, “Reputation is like a white robe,
easy to stain than remain immaculate; so beware of the companies you keep in
order not to sour your reputation or lose your confidence to cowardice”
Playing high would make you stand
taller, even in the midst of the stormiest weather, due to simple secret of you
knowing where you are going or what you are doing. Mind you, don’t always get
too intoxicated with puffed-up spirit or self-acclaimed-super-human for the
fact that you have just tasted success or greatness; besides, don’t always
forget; it’s easier to fall than to rise. Play high, play safe, but maintain a
reputable status quo, that wouldn’t soil your nomenclature in the nearest or
farthest future.
Reputation is a goldmine; and everyone
who has it must strive to sustain it, by guarding it from the reach of (the)
enemies – that’s exactly why the rich see it as a taboo for them to have
relationship with the have-nots in order to extend the hiatus and widen the
chasm between the latter and the former. Moreover, the noblest and the richest
amongst the few would wisely use their reputation to broaden their horizon.
