FIGHT YOUR FEARS TO TAKE CONTROL
13. FIGHT YOUR FEARS
Fear is an enemy of success; fear
could make a victor lose his victory; if he dares allow fright to mingle in
between his concentration and focus. For example, Peters; when he was walking
upon the waters to go meet Jesus at the other end of the river, he didn’t sink
from the start, but when he gave room to doubts that precipitated into fears
hence; killed the zeal and focus he once had, and then started sinking into the
water. Fear indeed, doesn’t build; it breaks. Fear doesn’t energize, it
paralyzes.
Whenever
fear grips you, it makes you feel destabilized, thereby waning your
concentration and dissipates your accomplishing pace. Moreover, when you take
time to fight your fears, by administering the right antidotes for a permanent solution
– such as facing the fears one-after-the-other – by not giving in to doubts,
being dogged and ruthless. According to Vergil; “They are able, because they
think they are able” and Thomas Fuller said something very salient,
that; “Brave actions never want a trumpet”. In this, when we can
believe we are able to conquer our fears, I bet you, we won’t want our fears to
cause us mountains that our faith could remove.
Moreover, fears are like shadows,
whenever we take a look at the mirror, we see images of ourselves in form of
shadows; it usually goes with us to wherever; except we reshape our look to
give the shadows our desired images; if not, the shape would remain unchanged
whenever we visit the mirror. Besides, if we run from our fears, whenever we
come in contact with them; they would increase and wait for us where we left
them; to attack us whenever we let them.
