ATM CARD THEFT ALERT!!!

Technology had gone far beyond were we left them yesterday; anybody telling you the world is not progressing, such a person is either hallucinating or in a state of comatose. ATM (Automatic Teller machine) Cards are electronic payment transaction devices, they have chips that can accommodate trillions of cash in a single card.

Be it as it may, many people in the world, especially Africans are still ignorant of what the ATM Cards can do, or better still, how the ATM Cards function. That magical card was designed to ease cash carrying and reduce paper works etc. but when we do not manage the card well, someone can at a glance rip us off all we have laboured for in years.

There's a number printed at the back of the ATM Card (the PAN), this pan is like the secret lock to any of the card while doing online transaction, so you better be careful with that few numbers at the back of the card.

Moreover, many people had lost their cash to fraudsters who claim they are CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) and other commercial Bank staff, who had been assigned to work on BVN (Bank Verification Numbers). they will ask for your BVN, telling you to change the PIN (Personal Identification Number) and send the new pin to a certain number they will give you. those kind of people are thieves, they neither work with CBN nor any commercial Bank as they have claimed. once you send them any changed PIN details, sorry for you. your money is gone, they will either use your money for online purchase or transfer the money electronically.

Besides, there are some smart ATM Thieves that specialize in swapping of ATM Cards, you might think the cards with you are yours, whereas, they have swapped it. they will exchanged their cashless card with yours.--they are smart. they go with many bank cards; they might just be hanging around, thinking they are actually ATM users, unknowing they are fraudsters looking for unsuspecting individuals to outsmart. More so, they are sometimes acting as if they want to help the card user to operate the ATM , simply because the owner of the card appears ignorant of the machine or that they are having problem effecting a transaction.

Don't doubt when i said your money will be gone! The world is growing per second. everyday, new technology is being launched to shape the world positively or negatively. hackers are on the rise, gadgets and devices are being developed everyday to ease life or cause more harm. we should be careful whom we give our ATM cards or PIN to, because that's the life of your account.

Please, do not disclose your bank ATM Card PIN, PAN nor should you give any one your BVN except when you were asked by the bank official inside the banking hall.
