AIM HIGH, START SMALL TO GROW FAST
22. AIM HIGH, START SMALL
There is no harm in trying to start small in
anything worth doing, either in life, business or otherwise. Indeed, I was meant
to understand that nothing in life starts from the top (at the beginning)
except the grave; and I believe no one wants to go there [go into the grave] now;
because any candidate or partner of the grave is a dead person, ready to be
buried; so don’t be discouraged to start whatever career, by aiming higher –
but start in a small measure, so you can grow faster.
More so, by aiming higher, you need
to work extra harder in order to paint the picture of your future with which
ever colour that pleases you. Indeed, aiming higher; one needs to have the
expertise and strength in solving problems – because, the more problems you
solve, will pave the ways for the more money you will command.
Many people today feel satisfied
where they are, while some feel their present status is their starting point; a
good example, is in the banking sector, some people wish to work in a banks
forever, while some other wise ones dream and aim to own banks where the
foolish among their peers could work to earn a living etc.
Aiming higher is not likened to
become a longer-throat (glutton); that could become debility of mind which
would also bring about financial or success decadence. Working harder by
putting your mind, brain and hand to use could help the vision of reaching the
zenith come to pass.
No hurry in life. Make judicious use
of your time, talents and strength in becoming an enviable and indispensable
asset than sitting somewhere and becoming a liability that will just end you up
in consuming other people’s sweat.
Starting small is not a sign of
weakness or myopic mentality because; it enables you to see every bit of the
dream and know where and when an expansion is needed, in order to build the
summit with features that would stand the test of time; after all, Rome
wasn’t build in a day; and a million-miles’ journey starts with a bold step.
