TAKE IT TO THE HEART
Now
that my days are troubled
Where
from here do I alone go?
In
this dilemma, I wish I could sail above
Before
poverty, I crave for decorum as one fold
Here
I am lone, nowhere known to go
I
wish without wings, I could fly like a beautiful dove
Now
my fate is beclouded by clumsy smoke
And
before dark, I wish could by love cope
The
truth, nevertheless I need to be told
If
I told you I never mourned you, it was a joke
Before
I met you at first
Thought
your chemistry was for my joy decorous
Never
knew you overnight turned a disease without cure
Later,
you became the devil so nefarious
At
last, you rendered my soul injurious
Or
do you have an iota of defence?
Even
now that you had become my archenemy
By
day, you play my best friend in pretence
