WHERE ARE WE HEADED?
The electoral
commission had taken asylum in bribery
Having been by
one party paid to fight the others
Election rigging
had become the order of the day
Electoral
reforms are not adhered to as supposed
Like HIV and
AIDS, corruption has sucked Nigerians’ blood
Breaking the
strengths of their patriotism like honeycomb
Disputes are ebbing their hopes of survival like candle wax
Like [an]
anathema, they are fighting to survive.
Politics had
become dramatized negatively
Democracy had
been bastardized totally
Its processes
are only on papers, advertised neatly
The new face of
Nigeria is taken over by wuruwuru
Too many broad
day tricky-polities
That had become
so conspicuous for the blind to see
Electoral
processes are nothing than abracadabra
And the highest
level of thuggery in the public consensus.
