A BAD DAY
Nigeria!
A nation in an
unbridled political atmosphere
Breeding
malicious brutal murderers
Incessant gruesome
associations of outlaws
In quail,
Nigerians habituate helplessly
From time to
time, its world trembles
Without delay,
we face ocean of pains
At ease, in
placid we quaff
Political
wrestles ponder our soul
Leaving us in
the wheel of misfortune
In a platter of
blood, we wash our hands
Our valour and
hopes are dwindling as prides
In comity of
nations, our country is on the bench of plebeian
Yet, plaudit
ordered by fellow compatriots
From the world,
a sarcasm and sagacity of a low profile
Nigerians, blindfolded
by fellow Nigerians
I hail all you
obsequious,
All Nigerians
whose scorns are salient
For long ago,
you died
The obsequies
yet to be announced
In sarcophagus,
your corpses lie.
I wish you could
again rise
To, all your
wrongs right
