THE EDIBLE HURRICANE
I tried to climb the fence of fortune
In order to break the yoke of
disillusion
She blew dust into my eyes with anger
During tough times
Her mouth rode rough in hatred
As if, all were lost in regrets
I tried to let it show
After the impromptu rain,
It wasn’t as easy as once said
Yet, the storm was still rehearsing
It blew around like a cyclone
Or a hurricane in New Orleans
I became eagle-eyed
She ate her words in a rush
Yet, swallowed her pride forthwith
Hence, she became an elephant power
And I became helpless at the eleventh
hour
