SAVE IT FOR ANOTHER DAY
When there's no one whom I am to call a friend
When foes like grains are scattered before me
And sadness like uninvited guest visits
My love, like a prisoner suffered in the hands of
hatred
Jittery swept me off my balance lately
Like the tsunami, I have been jostled to and fro
By ill-lucks, I’ve been pseudo-loved
Like the naija police, dejection had gripped me
Defenselessly, my conscience is bleaching helplessly
Tossed about by pains and repercussions
My wings of love are broken completely
I wish you will forever be my solace
Your hands I need, succour to bring me,
From God, I ask for a life like this, so blessed
That wonderful grace, ever wanted
That life that would take away my hapless destiny
For, it’s another day to cheer God’s kind of love
A love so pure, yet without spots
