According to the institution's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ajienka, 18,363 students graduated from 55 departments in 16 faculties in that period.
Of that, 13,382 were awarded First degrees, with only 41 earning First Class Honours while 2,389 graduated in the Second Class Upper Division category.
"A total of 8,602 bagged Second Class Lower divisions, 1,972 had Third Class, while eight students graduated with Pass," Ajienka said.
“Also, 324 obtained MBBS, 38 bagged B. Pharm degrees, while 19 graduated with BDS in Dentistry."
Another 2,616 students graduated with Master's Degrees, while 441 earned their doctorate degrees in the same period.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented at the by the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Julius Okojie, pledged to provide adequate budgetary allocation for Nigeria's ailing education sector.
He also called on private organisations and individuals for support.
