FUEL YOUR PASSION
“A
great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position”.
John
Maxwell
Over
the years, greater achievements had been sorted out by trailblazers. Real
winners do not wait for opportunities to explore; rather they cause
opportunities to spring out from within; and bringing out the best in them.
On
the 9th day of March, 1934; a great star was born, that Superstar
made a history on the 12th day of April in 1961. Yuri Alekseyevich
Gagarin was born in Smolensk region of USSR (Western Russia). During the 2nd
World War, he was displaced. And he later moved to Gzhatsk, a town in the
northern part of Smolensk. In 1949, he began his education at a Manufacturing
Trade School in Lyubertsy (near Moscow). In 1951, he was trained as a
metalworker at the Industrial Technical School in Serator; after which, he
joined fly club—where he learned to fly planes.
On that fateful April 12th 1961, he orbited earth once aboard
Vostok1, to have won him the prize of the ‘first human ever to travel to
space’.
According
to Schopenhauer; “The greatest intellectual capacities are only found in connection with
a vehement and passionate will”. To sustain your victory, you must
possess an uncommon will to succeed in whatever you are pursuing. More so, Mother Theresa said; “To
keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it”. Your lamp is
your talent; and your oil is the passion to break new grounds no matter the confronting difficulties.
The
stories of life are no sweet-sweet ones; sometimes, the unexpected happens. We
should take it as a point of duty; never to forget the lessons learnt from the
past journeys to the Promised Land. Let every of your enthusiasm starts from
the purity of your inner mind and a genuine drive to success. Besides, Mother
Theresa admonished; “It is not what we do, it is how much love we put in the doing”.
You might be someone borne with a peculiar talent; as a rare gem, you must
never abandon your vision—not for anything in the world. You must strive to
marry your interest with your gifting or else, you may end up wasting your
precious time.
Fueling
your passion is indeed a wake-up call to greatness. If we fail to wake up on
time, we might get left behind.
