WHEN YOU ARE WORKING FOR GOD, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DETERRED

Sometime ago, a young faith-filled pastor had just finished a sermon; when he received an emergency call from Port-Harcourt, while he was  still in Lagos, which of course unavoidable that he must be in Port-Harcourt 7:00am the following morning. The young pastor had no choice than begin his journey to Port-Harcourt; but his greatest worries were; time flying like jet planes, he was cash- strapped etc, some few kilometres after Benin City, his car ran out of fuel. To make matter worse, he had no ATM card, no money in his account and no filling station around the neighbourhood. Battling with this three things running through his mind—first, one thought suggested he should go back to Benin City to pass the night and call his wife to send him money the next morning. The second, he should forget the appointment i.e. disappoint his hosts; but the third, knowing that he’s indispensable to the call, – (that simple belief prompted him to move on and never to stop until he gets to port-Harcourt). Now it was about 11:25pm. Suddenly a thought came to him, which read thus; “Since I am on a mission for God, He would do what I cannot do for myself”.  Besides, the young Pastor said to himself, “I must get to port-Harcourt before tomorrow no matter what, I don’t know how, but God knows”. Luckily as he drove through the night, he got home safely, that was when he discovered that there was actually no fuel in his car.

God, through Christ came to our rescue, to fulfill all our desires through the grace of Jess' Christ. He said in the gospel of St. Matthew that, "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled". Also in the Epistle of St. John, He said, "Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world". So you should always believe in Him that is and that which is to come.
