ECLIPSE OF THE HEART
O! My fading spirit
How hurting is the word so killing
Like barbaric African cultures so fetish
Blamelessly condemning my empires
Breaking all my long-built fences
Like a defenseless city, I am naked
Betrayal had bruised me by the face
Jealousy had wreaked more harm
The bleeding had dashed my future hopes.
Like total eclipse, my hope was completely beclouded
Swaying to and fro, restlessly as a pendulum
Without wasting times, it soured the beauty of my
days
In a hurry, I am wishing I could win
Unknowingly, my dreams had been shattered
All, by the ugly face of misfortune
Like a determinant, I resisted failure forthwith
